Quince Jam
One of my favorite fruit in the Autumn is the quince, so what about for a delicious quince jam. An easy to cook and tasty homemade jam which can be used as ingredient in a lot of recipes in pastry like cakes, pasta flora and cheesecakes. So what you’re waiting for, put your apron on and use your imagination for a great result.
Quince Jam
Ingredients
For the recipe quince jam, you need the ingredients below,
1 kg. quinces
600 gr. sugar
Some lemon juice
1/2 glass of water
Execution
Slice the quinces in quarters and pare them. Then use a deep pot filled with water and lemon juice and put them in to rest. Then grate each quarter using a vegies grater. Use another pot in order to boil the grated quinces with the sugar and the 1/2 glass of water. Boil them about 30 minutes.
Finally add the lemon juice and continue boil until the jam is ready. Seal the jam into small jars of your choice and turn them upside down for some time before use. That’s it the quince jam is ready and last for a year.
Small Cooking Tips
You can boil the peels and pips in plenty of water in order to make some jelly.
