Greek Sesame Flatbread
Do you ever imagine you can make a Greek sesame flatbread bread in your kitchen? Well, please find below an easy recipe in order to bake a flatbread at home. So what are you waiting for, sleeves up and grab your knifes.
Ingredients
For the recipe, you need the ingredients below,
1 kilo flour
680 gr. water
Dry Yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon salt
5 tablespoons Greek olive oil
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon water
Sesame seeds
Execution
Use a large enough bowl and mix all the ingredients within, except the honey and the water. Start kneading until get a soft and easy to work dough. Then cover the bowl and put it into the refrigerator for 12 hours. Pour some flour in a large clean surface in your kitchen and start to knead the dough again. Slice the dough into 3 pieces and shape them like a ball, put them aside to rest.
In the meanwhile get a large deep baking pan and put it empty in the oven on 250 degrees. After a while try to flatter each dough using your fingers. Then cover it with the honey/water mixture and pour some sesame seeds. Add them within the pan and bake about 30 minutes with the pan covered and 15 minutes without the lid. That’s it the homemade Greek sesame flatbread is ready to taste.
