Easter Cookies with Sugar Paste

Ingredients

Please find below the ingredients you need for the recipe,

250 gr. butter
200 gr. sugar
1 egg
500 gr. flour
Some vanilla
Sugar paste
Some water mixed with sugar
Royal icing

Execution

Preheat the oven at 200 degrees. Beat the sugar with the butter until they combined well together. Then add the egg while you still stirring. Add the rest of the ingredients and keep stirring well until you get a soft dough mixture. Use a large baking pan covering the bottom with greaseproof paper. Open the dough into a thin enough sheet and start cutting into the Easter shapes you like. Bake them about 10-12 minutes but not more, in order to get nicely soft and not too dry cookies. Then stretch the sugar paste into a thin sheet and cut it into the exact shapes like before. Then use them as top for each cookie, try to get stick them each other brushing some of the water sugar mixture. Decorate with royal icing and the Easter cookies are ready.
