Easter Bunnies Brioche
We are just some days before the Greek Easter and we though that’s a great chance to bake some easter bunnies brioche cakes. Let’s play with your kids and the dough into the kitchen. Please find more recipes and ideas about Easter here. So what are you waiting for, sleeves up and grab your aprons.
Please find below the ingredients you need for the recipe,
650 gr. flour for cakes
160 gr. sugar and 70 gr. butter
100 gr. milk and 100 gr. water
40 gr. fresh yeast
1 teaspoon mahlab
1 teaspoon kakoule
Zest of an orange
Melt the butter with the sugar and milk in a saucepan and the yeast in lukewarm water. Put the flour in the mixer with the eggs, the spices, aromatics and the orange zest. Next add the yeast mixture into the flour and slowly pour the mixture with butter, knead around 15 minutes. Let the dough rise about an hour. When it’s ready try to shape the dough in an oblong sheet, give the form of a bunny and put them aside to rest and inflate. Beat some eggs brushing on the top of each brioche. Bake in preheated oven in the kitchen at 180 degrees about 15-20 mins.
