Chocolate Coconut Truffles
An all time classic recipe, the chocolate coconut truffles, which brings to us a lot of happy memories from our childhood birthday parties. Chocolate Coconut Truffles
Ingredients
For the cake mixture, you need the ingredients below,
400 gr. flour
100 gr. cocoa
400 gr. sugar
250 gr. butter
240 gr. milk
4 eggs
2 beans vanilla
Some salt
For the truffle mixture, you need the ingredients below,
500 gr. chocolate cake
150 gr. bitter/dark chocolate
100 gr. sour cream
Shredded coconut
Orange zest
Execution
Beat the butter with the sugar until you get a soft and smooth mixture. Then add the eggs one at a time mixing slowly, pour the vanilla and the salt. Next add the milk, the flour and the cocoa. Put the mixture into a baking form for cake. Bake into the oven at 175 degrees for an hour and the cake is ready.
Get a bowl and crumble the chocolate cake mixing with the orange zest together. Boil the sour cream and then pour it on the top of the sliced bitter chocolate and start stirring slowly. Put the chocolate mixture into the crumbled cake mixing together very well.
Put the bowl into the refrigerator to rest about 2 hours. After this time shape the mixture into small balls and roll them into the shredded coconut. When you shape the truffles you can spread some cognac or orange juice into your hands in order to get a nice flavor as well. Optionally you can put them into truffle cases. That’s it the chocolate coconut truffles are ready to taste.
